On the top of a lovely and sunny hill of the L'Aquila side of Abruzzo there is an enchanted village: CAPESTRANO, land of Warriors, Saints and excellent Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine. From the magnific medieval village, surrounded by defensive walls, opens a wondeful scenery on the valley with fertile cultivated lands on the Tirino river, cleanest river in Europe, and on the Rocca Calascio and Castel del Monte castles. In front of the majestic Capestrano castle we have an old and characteristic detached property with double panoramic view both towards the historic centre as well as the Gran Sasso National Park. The property is in good conditions, habitable from the start and made up of high vaults, one of which with frescos, wood fixtures, beautiful portal, old floors. The property is on three levels, on the ground floor there is a wide room (currently with partition) with comfortable staircase that brings to the first floor, at which is opened a hallway with frescoed vault, a dining room with balcony, a kitchen with balcony, a living room (to transform possibly in bedroom), two bedrooms and a bathroom with relative hallway; on the basement floor, reachable from a trapdoor and wooden staircase, there are two wide cellars with ceiling and floor in bricks. By fitting a more comfortable staircase it would be possible to better connect the ground floor with the basement as to better use the cellars with possible change of destination. In the lively village there are bar, restaurants, shops, wine bar where is possible to taste local food and wine; the people are welcoming, the nights in the plaza are cheerful, the children still play outside, adults chat in front of a glass of local wine, great cellars produce excellent wines in this valley, numerous festivals with music and dances. The position of Capestrano is great because allows to reach both L'Aquila and Pescara in 50 minutes, in 2 hours you can reach Rome.
