In the historic centre of San Valentino in Abruzzo Citeriore, splendid village in Majella stone, laying over a hill that oversees towards the sea and towards the Majella, the mother mountain of Abruzzo, in a characteristic and old street we have a very old independent house to renovate completely. The property is on two levels with two rooms on the high floors and two rooms on the first floor. The cottage allows a dive in the more ancient past with its brick pavements, the wood doorframes and the big fireplace where the family used to reunite and cook together. The roof is in good conditions, restored in the '90s. It is ideal for a little residence characteristic of the first years of the 1900. The central position of the house allows to reach on foot the monuments, the churches and the most important palaces of the village and to lose oneself in the alleys characterized by Majella stone's steps that open into suggestive clearings typical of the years sixteen and seventeen hundred. The village is located in part in the Parco Nazionale della Majella and it has numerous tourist routes that lead up to the discovery of the territory. The culinary art of San Valentino in Abruzzo Citeriore represents the most of the regional cuisine of Abruzzo, based on an agricultural and pastoral economy. It is famous for the "pallotte cace e ove" (a type of meatball without meat with cheese and eggs), the artisanal gelato and for the excellent production of the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine.
